Who doesn’t love a great girls’ trip? It’s a great way to take a few days to yourself, away from your spouse and kids. And it helps you nourish friendships and catch up on what’s been happening in each others’ lives. But how do you plan the ultimate girls’ trip? Keep reading!

1. Lock in dates for the trip

The first step toward having a successful girls’ weekend is picking dates that work for everyone. Try to pick dates well in advance so that everyone can attend. This will also give everybody time to ask for time off work and find great deals on lodging and flights. Once you’ve settled on a time period that works, put it on your calendar and start the countdown!

2. Set a per-person budget

The most important part of any girls’ trip is that your closest friends are all in one place. So don’t let anyone feel left out because they can’t afford to spend as much as everyone else. Ask your girlfriends to be honest about how much they’re comfortable spending for the trip, including lodging, transportation, food, and experiences.

3. Figure out what everyone wants from the girls’ trip

Asking your friends for their budgets can be uncomfortable. Thankfully, finding out what they want to get out of the trip is a much easier conversation.

Does everyone want a quiet trip designed to bring everyone closer together? Or are they looking for a jam-packed itinerary filled with once-in-a-lifetime experiences? Knowing these things will help you figure out where to go to ensure it meets everyone’s needs and expectations.

4. Find great accommodations

You don’t have to stay in a hotel on your girls’ trip. A hotel might not allow you to spend as much time together as you’d like because you could end up in different rooms on different floors. Instead, look for places to rent on sites like Airbnb and VRBO. You’ll typically be able to get more bang for your buck. And you can find accommodations that have spaces for alone time, heart-to-heart conversations, and late-night gossip sessions.

5. Book a unique experience

Even if everyone wants a quiet, down-to-earth weekend, try to find and book at least one unique experience for the trip. You might tour a historic, local building or go on a wine tasting. Whatever you do, it will help ensure that your girls’ trip is something everyone always remembers!
