5 Things to Add to Your Pre-Baby Bucket List

Before going any further, if you’re currently pregnant and looking for a list of things to do to prepare for your baby, this is not the post for you. But, if you’re looking for a bucket list of things to do before you and your significant other start trying for kids, then keep reading. Because once you have a baby, it’ll be more difficult to find time for yourself and your spouse — not impossible; it will just take more planning.

1. Travel together

Take some time to go on a second honeymoon or to visit somewhere you’ve never been before. Traveling with your spouse can rekindle the romance and make your bond stronger. That way, you’ll have a solid relationship before expanding your family.

2. Go on dates often

Before you have a baby, go on as many dates as possible. It will remind you why you fell in love with your partner. And it will be much harder to have date nights once a baby’s in the picture.

3. Purge the house

This might be the most fun thing on your pre-baby bucket list, but it will help you feel like you have a fresh start. Getting rid of things around your home will also help you eventually make room for a baby.

4. Achieve financial stability

Financial stability looks different for everyone. For some people, that might mean no longer living paycheck to paycheck. For others, though, it might mean paying off your student loans or living completely debt-free. It might even mean being able to live entirely off one income. 

5. Sleep in as often as possible

Once you add a baby to your family, it will probably be a few years before you’ll be able to sleep in again. So don’t take it for granted now. Until you have a baby, get up whenever you want to and enjoy a few lazy weekends around the house.
